Edible Flower Garden
My “sugar sweet bouqet” cake pops ended up linked to Mothers Day Flower Baskets for edible floral arrangements for your mom for Mother’s Day. After checking out their post, I was in LOVE with the idea of making my cupcakes look like flowers and off I went to make my own Cupcake Flower Bouqet. They remind me of a little flower garden, except instead of picking the flowers to smell them, you get to eat them.
These would be darling for a cupcake wedding or a baby shower or even a birthday party. Planter pots could be set up as the cupcake stands.
Cupcake: Strawberry and Espresso Chocolate
Icing: Straberry buttercream and Buttercream (tinted purple and orange)

Happy May Day!
I love May. Not only is it my birthday month, but May rejuvenates me. It seems like the air changes, the flowers come out, the weather stays nice, and good things happen!
Shyla had called me a month or so ago wanting cupcakes for her daughters birthday party. It didn’t end up working out and she called the other day and ordered a dozen cupcakes just because.
I made her these delectible delights topped with a flower in honor of May Day. It seemed appropriate to have an edible “flower basket”.
Cupcake: Red Velvet
Icing: Buttercream
Topper: Gumpaste flowers

Life is Like a Box of Chocolates
I am sitting here wallowing in my lonliness while my husband lives it up in Vegas, so I baked. Baking always makes me happy.
I’ve been wanting to try something different with my cake balls and had seen a DARLING chocolate box made out of cake and cake balls and thought I’d take a stab at it. I wish I could remember what site I saw it on to give them credit…but alas, my memory fails me. So- to the site I saw this darling idea on, THANK YOU!
I think it might have been BAKERELLA…or CAKE JOURNAL…hmmmm…really, idk. My husband gets on me all the time about my terrible memory, which is why I love blogging so much because it’s record keeping for my memories. Anyways…waaaay off track.
Since I was making these while missing the hubster, I chose a lovey dovey background setting. These would make a super cute Valentine or Anniversary gifts.
Cake: Red Velvet
Icing: Half cream cheese/half buttercream
Covering: Semi-sweet chocolate with white chocolate drizzle
Happy 3rd Anniversary
Today my husband and I are celebrating our third wedding anniversary!
Since his days off are Tuesday and Wednesday I knew I couldn’t surprise him on our actual anniversary so Monday night at 7:30 I decided to make a cake for him. He gets off at 10:00pm so I flew to get this cake baked, decorated and set up before he got home. I quickly piped on some words that every time I hear remind me of him. Then around the base of the cake stand I piped (quickly) *i love you * happy anniversary*.
Cake: Vanilla
Icing: Buttercream
Covered: Fondant tinted green
Piping: White chocolate candy melts
Now it’s off for anniversary fun topped off with a Sushi dinner. Hooray!
