Mini Oreos – Wedding Cookies – Salinas, CA
When Bekki ordered her Motorcycle Groom’s cake, she also ordered some cookies for her son to have as his own little something “sweet” at their wedding.
I loved making these little goodies. They always turn out so cute and are the perfect finger food dessert for a wedding.

4th of July BBQ – Holiday Cupcakes – Watsonville, CA
We took the brood over to some of our favorites house yesterday to celebrate the 4th with a BBQ. In order to tie the cupcakes in with the 4th of July them, I did some flags and fireworks with my edible markers. I had seen this darling idea of drawing on marshmallows HERE and had been dying to try out some of her drawing tutorials. I used the drawn on marshmallows as the cupcake toppers. And voila, a 4th of July BBQ festive cupcake display.
Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!!!

Mini Oreo Cupcakes Bites
My almost 3 year old son is getting to the age where daily activities are a must if we want to avoid several meltdowns. This particular day I promised him he could “go WILD” with mommy’s sprinkles. He was beyond excited and kept talking about it ALL day! Both sprinkles containers were dumped out completely and thrown to the side in 10 seconds flat.
He was a happy boy and I was a happy momma.

Sugar Sweet Bouquet
My husband’s grandma made up this amazing recipe book that I was deemed worthy of having when I married into the family.
Her recipe book is my first stop when testing things out because they usually turn out a-maz-ing. So, I turned to her when finding a carrot cake recipe for an upcoming wedding cake tasting!
The cake turned out oh-so-flippin-good- a little dense- but super flavorful. Since I knew we wouldn’t eat the whole cake, I turned the rest into cake-pops to test out my new dipping techniques to get a smoother finish. The hubster ended up taking most of them to work and said they got rave reviews. My son and I munched the rest. We’re sharing buddies. I feel better about eating a ton of sweets when I split them with him.

Stella’s First Birthday Dessert Table
Meet Stella.
She is the offspring of our American Bulldogs. She was the “Lone Ranger” of Azzie’s first litter. The only pup. And because of it, she is gi-normous. Her family affectionately calls her the “horse”. She is a big, gentle, dopey giant of a dog and I just love her.
Her first birthday was April 5th and I wanted to make something special for her and her family (which happens to be my BFF). So I set off to find a dog friendly cake/cookie recipe. I know that in order to have a proper celebration I needed human food as well. I made these dog themed cupcake toppers and cookies. The no-bake-cookies were supposed to resemble…well, you know.
Happy Birthday Stella Dear!
